Two lower links connect to pins spread about 20 to 24" apart probably 8" off the ground and the top link hooks to the center pin up high! ....

Could be a ballast box I guess, but it'd still be the same hookup.

I used my box scraper several times that weren't very satisfactory both in terms of time and results and then got a hydraulic top-link. Before the top-link the scraper was destined to be mostly ballast now it's among my most used implements.

Blade angle is almost everything to how a box scraper works and a hydraulic top-link lets you adjust it on the fly. I'm almost constantly adjusting mine. For working foreword, rolling the back of the box up (shortening the link) increases the cutting action. Lengthening it reduces the cut till the box will simply drag a load. Lengthening it further will start spreading material that's in the box. It works the other way when using the rear cutter in reverse.

I never found the 3ph worked well for controlling my scraper. Now I just use lots of float and control the action almost entirely with the top-link. ....
